About the Study

  • The Iowa PHR (Pharmacist Connection) study is designed to test whether patient engagement with study pharmacists is improved more when patients have access to a mobile app compared to when they use a standard website alone.  
  • Researchers will also study whether cardiovascular disease risks differ between these two groups after four months.
  • Up to 125 patients across Iowa will participate in this study.
  • This study is funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
  • Enrollment in the study is by invitation only.
